Multifunctional use beyond harvest

Our founder Michael never liked machines that are used only for a few weeks during harvest and remain idle for the rest of the year. That’s why the Berglady was developed – as a further evolution of the Lady, designed to use the same base machine also outside the harvest period. Thanks to its reinforced construction and predefined mounting points for optional attachments, the Berglady not only expands its harvesting capabilities but also enables various maintenance tasks to be performed throughout the year.

More power and stability

The Berglady was built with a stronger structure to safely carry heavier loads during work while maintaining full stability. With more powerful motors, optional reduction gearboxes, and a 48V system, it can handle loads of up to around 600 kg. The longer wheelbase and wider track provide a solid base – both when two people are working on the pedestals during harvest while a full fruit bin is being transported, and when pruning trees in winter on uneven or slippery ground. Even slopes of up to around 40% are possible, with the system recovering braking energy on descents to extend battery life in hilly orchards.

Platform and pedestals when needed

Instead of building a separate, larger machine, the Berglady was designed so that a platform or harvesting pedestals can be mounted when required. This allows the same base machine to take on different tasks throughout the season. The platform is mainly used for maintenance work such as pruning in winter, tying in spring, thinning during the growing phase, or working on hail nets, for example opening clips. The harvesting pedestals, on the other hand, are primarily used to enable picking in mid-and higher-tree areas. You can find more about the platform here: Platform

Reaching higher picking zones

The harvesting versatility of the Berglady can be significantly increased by attaching harvesting pedestals. This allows workers to reach tree sections that would otherwise require a separate lifting platform or traditional picking ladders, where the work is considerably heavier and slower. Depending on the model and the slope, heights between approximately 2.30m and 3.50m can be reached. The pedestals can also be adjusted to the respective row width, which can vary between 2.20 m and 3.50 m depending on the planting system. You can find more about harvesting pedestals here: Pedestals

Our other Main Products

The Berglady can be used for gradients of up to 40%.

By purchasing a platform in addition to the Berglady, one can work with the machine all year round. This allows users to harvest, prune, tie, thin out by hand and eventually open/close the hail net.

The Berglady is ideal for orchards with slopes of 20% or more, thanks to its added stability. It’s also the right choice for growers who want to maximise the number of tasks they can perform with just one machine. With pedestal add-ons and/or the platform, the Berglady can handle most orchard tasks throughout the entire year, making it our most multifunctional and versatile model.

The Lady is mainly a bin transporter, ideal for harvesting in the lower part of the trees, while a single-man platform can also be added for various tasks throughout the year. The Berglady is our all-rounder, capable of harvesting in the lower area, reaching the middle and higher zones with pedestal add-ons, performing year-round maintenance work for up to two people when equipped with the platform add-on, and operating safely on steep slopes of up to 40%. The Landlady, on the other hand, is a pure platform vehicle designed for year-round tasks such as pruning, thinning, tying, and tree care. It is not optimized for harvesting, but excels as our strongest and most stable platform on flat land.

With the standard battery, you can usually operate the machine for a full day — except in rare cases, such as fast-paced hail net work. In those situations, we can upgrade to the maximum battery capacity to ensure you still complete a full day of work. Typically, you take the battery home, charge it overnight, and start fresh the next day.

If someone drives a lot of inclines in their orchards and also uses the platform or the harvesting ladders a lot and therefore 2 people work with them, it can make sense to increase the battery capacity. We have various options for this. In this case, please contact us.
