Multifunctional use beyond harvest
Our founder Michael never liked machines that are used only for a few weeks during harvest and remain idle for the rest of the year. That’s why the Berglady was developed – as a further evolution of the Lady, designed to use the same base machine also outside the harvest period. Thanks to its reinforced construction and predefined mounting points for optional attachments, the Berglady not only expands its harvesting capabilities but also enables various maintenance tasks to be performed throughout the year.
More power and stability
The Berglady was built with a stronger structure to safely carry heavier loads during work while maintaining full stability. With more powerful motors, optional reduction gearboxes, and a 48V system, it can handle loads of up to around 600 kg. The longer wheelbase and wider track provide a solid base – both when two people are working on the pedestals during harvest while a full fruit bin is being transported, and when pruning trees in winter on uneven or slippery ground. Even slopes of up to around 40% are possible, with the system recovering braking energy on descents to extend battery life in hilly orchards.
Platform and pedestals when needed
Instead of building a separate, larger machine, the Berglady was designed so that a platform or harvesting pedestals can be mounted when required. This allows the same base machine to take on different tasks throughout the season. The platform is mainly used for maintenance work such as pruning in winter, tying in spring, thinning during the growing phase, or working on hail nets, for example opening clips. The harvesting pedestals, on the other hand, are primarily used to enable picking in mid-and higher-tree areas. You can find more about the platform here:
Reaching higher picking zones
The harvesting versatility of the Berglady can be significantly increased by attaching harvesting pedestals. This allows workers to reach tree sections that would otherwise require a separate lifting platform or traditional picking ladders, where the work is considerably heavier and slower. Depending on the model and the slope, heights between approximately 2.30m and 3.50m can be reached. The pedestals can also be adjusted to the respective row width, which can vary between 2.20 m and 3.50 m depending on the planting system. You can find more about harvesting pedestals here:
