Multifunctional use beyond harvest
Michael, our founder, never liked the idea of a machine that works only for a short harvest period and then stands in storage for the rest of the year. That is why the Berglady was developed. It is a further evolution of the Lady, with the goal of keeping the same base machine in use during different work phases and not only during picking. By reinforcing the chassis and preparing the frame for additional attachments, the machine can cover more seasonal tasks without needing a second unit.
More power and stability
The Berglady was also reinforced to carry more weight during work. The longer wheelbase and wider track give the machine a more solid base when two people are working on the pedestals and a full fruit bin is being transported. With the stronger motors, optional reduction gearboxes and the 48V system, loads of up to around 600 kg can be handled without affecting stability. Slopes of up to roughly 40% are possible, and the system can recover energy on descents to extend battery life in hilly orchards.
Platform and pedestals when needed
Instead of building a separate platform machine, the Berglady was designed so that a working platform can be mounted when required. The same applies to harvesting pedestals for reaching higher areas. This allows the same base machine to cover different jobs as the season changes.
Reaching higher picking zones
With harvesting pedestals attached, workers can reach tree sections that normally require a platform. Depending on the model and the slope, heights between roughly 1.50 m and 3.50m can be covered. Row widths between 2.20m and 3.50m are supported so that the setup fits different planting systems.
